Welcome to Flippables, an application designed to help you create, manage and study efficiently from flashcards.

Acceptance of Terms

By using the Flippables application, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.

User Responsibilities

Users are solely responsible for their actions and the content they create or share within the app.
Users have the discretion to share folders, card decks, and cards with other users. However, they acknowledge that by sharing such content, it may be accessed, modified, or deleted by other users.
We are not responsible for any actions taken by other users regarding shared folders, card decks, or cards. Users are advised to exercise caution when sharing content and to only share with trusted individuals.

Free Access and Paid Access

Flippables provides free access for a limited number of days on first use, allowing new users to explore the app and its features without payment. This free access period expires automatically.

After the free access period ends, continued use of certain features may require a paid access purchase.

Flippables offers paid access options through one-time purchases, which unlock full functionality of the app for a defined period or for the lifetime of the app.

Time-limited access grants full access to paid features for a fixed number of days.
Any purchased access time is added to the user’s existing remaining access time, if applicable.
Lifetime access grants full access for the lifetime of the Flippables app and its availability on supported platforms, not the lifetime of the user.

All access purchases are one-time payments. There are no subscriptions, renewals, or recurring charges.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, impose, remove, or change the scope or duration of free access or the features available under paid access at any time. Continued use of the application after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Usage Restrictions

You are not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn't try to translate the app into other languages or make derivative versions.

App Breakage and Updates

We strive to provide a reliable and functional app experience. However, in the event of app breakage or malfunction, we shall not be held responsible for any inconvenience, loss of data, or disruption in service.
We reserve the right to push updates and patches to the app to address any issues, enhance functionality, or introduce new features. Users are encouraged to keep their app updated to ensure optimal performance and security.

Analytics Data

By using our application, you agree to allow us to collect analytics data regarding your usage of the application. This data may include but is not limited to information about features utilized, frequency of use, and interactions within the app. We use this data to improve and optimize the user experience, enhance app performance, and develop new features. Rest assured, your personal information remains confidential and is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

OAuth Sign-In and Limitation of Responsibility

This application offers sign-in functionality through OAuth, an industry-standard authorization framework. OAuth allows you to sign in to the App using your existing credentials from a trusted third-party service provider. By choosing to sign in with OAuth, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Third-Party Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your third-party service account.
Impact on App Access: If you lose access to your third-party service account, you will not be able to sign in to our app. We cannot assist with transferring accounts or regaining access through your third-party service provider.

Data Deletion Policy

Flippables is designed with an offline-first data architecture. With the exception of limited authentication data and purchase-related metadata, almost all user-generated content is stored locally on the user’s device and is not stored or backed up on Flippables’ servers.

The following terms apply:

Locally Stored Data:

Flashcards, folders, decks, cards, and other study content are stored locally on the user’s device. Flippables does not maintain server-side copies or backups of this content.

Server-Stored Data (Non-Deletable):

To prevent fraud, abuse, and repeated misuse of purchases or accounts, Flippables permanently retains:

Authentication identifiers (such as user ID and associated sign-in metadata)
Metadata related to purchases and entitlements (including lifetime unlimited access and AI credits)

This data cannot be deleted, anonymized, or purged upon account deletion requests.

Effect of App or Account Deletion: If you delete the application or delete your account:

All locally stored data will be permanently deleted

Deleted content is non-recoverable

Flippables will not be able to restore any flashcards, folders, decks, or cards under any circumstances

No Data Recovery: Because user content is stored locally, Flippables cannot retrieve, restore, or reconstruct deleted data, even upon request.

By using the application, you acknowledge and agree that:

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of any content you wish to retain

Deleting the app, your account, or losing access to your device will result in permanent data loss

Certain authentication and purchase-related metadata will be retained indefinitely for abuse prevention and entitlement enforcement purposes

Internet Connection Requirement

This application operates on an online-first basis, meaning that an internet connection is necessary for its proper functioning. By using this application, you acknowledge and agree that certain features and functionalities may require an active internet connection.

By accepting these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and agree that the we shall not be held responsible for any disruptions in service due to your internet connectivity issues.

Feature Additions/Removals

We reserve the right to add or remove any feature in the app.

App Updates

Our App is regularly updated to improve performance, add new features, and address security concerns. While we may strive to maintain compatibility with older versions of the App, we cannot guarantee full functionality or support for all versions indefinitely. We reserve the right to discontinue support for outdated versions and may require users to update to the latest version to continue using the App or accessing certain features. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of any mandatory updates.

AI-Generated Content

Flippables offers optional AI-powered features that allow users to generate flashcards and other study materials. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

AI Output Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Flippables does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI output and is not responsible for any consequences resulting from its use. Users should review and verify all generated content before relying on it.
AI Credit Usage: The use of AI features requires credits. The number of credits charged is based on factors such as the size and complexity of your prompt. Flippables retains full discretion over credit pricing and may adjust prices at any time without prior notice.
Failed Generations: In the event that the AI fails to generate the requested content, the credits used for that attempt will be returned to your account.

Sync Backups

The sync feature is provided on an as-is basis to allow users to back up and restore their data across devices.
We reserve the right to impose reasonable limits on backup size, storage usage, and upload frequency in order to maintain service reliability and performance.
Backups that exceed supported size limits may be rejected, fail to upload, or be automatically removed.
We may delete stored backups, in whole or in part, at our discretion, including for reasons such as storage constraints, inactivity, service changes, abuse prevention, or operational requirements.
We do not guarantee the long-term availability of any backup and recommend that users maintain their own independent copies of important data.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the sync and backup functionality at any time, with or without notice.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Flippables, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, personal injury, lost profits, or data loss arising out of or in connection with the use of the Flippables mobile application.

Changes to Terms

Flippables reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Flippables application after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
